Letter from a UK Headteacher (Principal)......

Hi JP,

All good over here - the school became an academy on 1st April and took the opportunity to change its name.  Our government think things like that make a difference but as we know its what teachers and children do that changes lives.  However, a fresh start is always welcome.

How are you keeping?  Still active in the garden and study despite the heart scare I hope.  I really enjoyed your book - I've joined a task group called Vision 2040 who are working on  project called redesigning schooling.  It wont surprise you to know that the appoaches you describe in the book are now being identified as innovative practice by the current generation of teachers brought up on didactic three part lessons.  The pendulum swings.  Here's the weblink for the group's work if you are interested.
