Today's senior scientist class, led by class newcomer and former science teacher, Bill Wright, challenged the brain
and the hand -eye coordination - and EVERYONE succeeded!!
Bill brought all the necessary equipment (battery, wire, card, nail, and magnets for everyone), explained the challenge, put it into a historical context, then gave out the resources, and EVERYONE eventually made a propellor propel/operate using the very basic material........
The atmosphere was super-charged!!
Well done, Bill!!
After everyone shared their creation, I thanked Jim for a super presentation, and then gave out a handout,
selections from the SCIENCE NY Times .......
I could tell by the smiling faces that it had been another enjoyable, participatory session, marred only by Sara's absence
through ill health.
So, what shall I do next week?
